How do you like them Apples?!

Apples to Apples

Imagine a world where you can buy Beatles music on iTunes...oh, wait, you don't have to imagine it anymore.  Mayb you're like me, and didn't realize this was an impossibility before this week (possibly because you never liked the Beatles, and/or because you don't use iTunes).  But everyone else is apparently very excited about this, so we can be happy for them.

As you may notice from the logos above, both Apple (which owns iTunes) and the Beatles use an apple for their logo.  The apples don't really look alike, but they are apples, nonetheless.  They aren't the only ones who use apples for their logos, obviously - school and education-related businesses have been using apples in their logos for many years.  However, iTunes and the Beatles have been fighting over their apples for a long time - with the Beatles claiming copyright infringement, and refusing to let Apple (the company) sell their music. (More on The Telegraph)

But now, they've managed to strike a deal, and Beatles fans can now get their fix on iTunes.  I love happy endings.
